I'm Joseph, Guitarist and Teacher

Hi, I'm Joseph – thanks for visiting! I've got more than 10 years of teaching guitar lessons and have taught in schools and music schemes all around London and Ireland. I've got a BMus in Jazz Guitar from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and when I am not teaching, you can catch me playing guitar at venues all over London and abroad – so I really love to bring that real, professional knowledge into each guitar lesson.

I teach all levels and ages (my students range from 8 to 80!) and often teach whole families who would like to learn as a group. Whether you are a beginner on the guitar, looking to develop further, or are studying for an official qualification, I can help. I am a Rockschool, Trinity Rock & Pop, and RGT grades 1-8 teacher and can also provide help with GCSE and A-Level performance preparation and confidence and stage presence development.

I am happy to provide guitar and bass guitar lessons, online lessons or one-to-one lessons are available. You can come to my home studio in New Cross, or I can visit you if you're in the area (Hither Green, Lee, Blackheath, Greenwich, Peckham, Dulwich).

Above all, I love to have fun in guitar classes. Throughout my years of experience working with students of every age group, from primary and secondary school children to adults taking private lessons, I love to pass that experience on to each session.

No matter your guitar playing style or level, my goal is to help you enjoy the process of learning, keep it relaxed, and tailored to your needs. Whether you'd like to learn a handful of chords, practice complex guitar solos, or simply enjoy playing music, I'd love to help guide you there. Let’s get started today!

Can't make it in person? No problem – I also offer lessons online using Skype or Zoom! Online lessons are a great option if you'd like to save traveling time, work around a busy schedule, or are based outside of London.

I make online lessons as engaging and interactive as in-person lessons. You will still get one-on-one guidance, clear demonstrations, and materials being transmitted to you so that you can practice in between sessions.

Whether you are studying for Rockschool, Trinity Rock & Pop, RGT grades, GCSE/A-level performance courses, or just playing for fun, online lessons are a convenient and effective way of keeping on learning. All you require is your guitar or bass, internet access, and we can begin!
